At Back 2 School America (B2SA), we believe education is the foundation for a brighter future—and at the heart of that future are our teachers. The We Appreciate Teachers contest is our way of shining a spotlight on the incredible dedication, passion, and impact of educators across Illinois, with a special focus on those serving in under-resourced classrooms and communities.
Each year, we recognize extraordinary teachers who consistently go above and beyond for their students. These educators are celebrated with a VIP awards celebration and receive meaningful prizes designed to support both their classrooms and their own well-being—because when teachers have the tools they need, students thrive.
We are proud to partner with National Louis University (NLU) in presenting this annual contest. NLU has a long-standing commitment to advancing education and supporting teachers in their professional growth. Together, we honor the vital role educators play in shaping the lives of students and strengthening communities, while also providing them with the recognition and resources they deserve.
Contest will be launched on World Teachers Day, Sunday, October 5, 2025 and will end on Friday, December 19th. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 23rd, 2026.
